Collette Reeves, Retreat Leader

Namaste! My name is Collette. I am a yoga teacher, nature lover, book reader and travel enthusiast. In the past six years, I have traveled to destinations such as Costa Rica, Maui, Tulum, British Virgin Islands, Cape Cod, Puerto Rico and Vermont to teach at and attend yoga retreats.

In Vieques, where I have lived for 11 years, I plan, coordinate and assist in leading island retreats of all kinds. My clients are retreat leaders, yoga studio owners and dance studio owners.

The British Virgin Islands Wellness Retreat is a compilation of my best experiences. Choosing each detail with thought and intention to create and share the most memorable experience with you.

I hold an E-RYT 200 hour certification from Yoga Alliance in hatha yoga as well as a 100 continuing education and training hours specific to yin yoga, pranayama (breathwork), sound bath facilitation, yoga nidra and meditation. I first learned to teach yoga from my teacher and mentor, Mary Byerly, of Mary Byerly Yoga in Costa Rica. Mary taught me to observe my mind, body and breath without judgement. My teaching is rooted in hatha yoga and this methodology. I choose to meet my students exactly where they are, gently guiding them to notice their mind, body and breath in a new way.
